Neodymium from permanent magnets

The main application of neodymium are Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) magnets, the most powerful type of permanent magnet commercially available. The magnets are composed of a synthesized NdFeB powder coated with nickel-copper-nickel. A chemical process has been studied which allows the recovery of Neodymium and Iron, with purity of the recovered Nd increased if compared to the methods used in literature.
