9-Tech supported the Green Propulsion Lab of the Veritas group in the design and construction of a prototype for the production of hydrogen from immobilized bacteria.

The project, funded by ESA (European Space Agency), is coordinated by the GreenProlusion Lab and 9-Tech is a partner together with the University of Padova and the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

The project, lasting 18 months, began in June 2022 and ended in September 2023 with the creation of a photobioreactor capable of degrading wastewater and simultaneously producing hydrogen gas.

On the developed photobioreactor technology two patent applications, co-owned by 9-Tech, were filed by Veritas.
