9-Tech supported the Green Propulsion Lab of the Veritas group in the design and construction of a prototype for the production of hydrogen from immobilized bacteria.
The project, funded by ESA (European Space Agency), is coordinated by the GreenProlusion Lab and 9-Tech is a partner together with the University of Padova and the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
The 18-month project began in June 2022 and will end with tests on the realized photobioreactor which is capable of degrading wastewater and, at the same time, produces gaseous hydrogen.
On the developed photobioreactor technology two patent applications, co-owned by 9-Tech, were filed by Veritas.
